Lecture: Confronting Fear and Finding Bravery Through Performance

July 20 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Free

What makes a powerful performance, and why does it move us so deeply? How do musicians handle stage fright? How can art inspire all of us to be more courageous and creative in our everyday lives? Writer and violist Nora Krohn will explore these questions that get at the core of how artistic vulnerability promotes an enlivening of the human heart. Curated and moderated by Sarah E.R. Grosman, TBMS Community Programs Manager and specialist in community-based arts practices.

The Summer Daytime Lecture series features lectures by TBMS faculty members, presented in partnership with Lenox Hill Neighborhood House at St. Peter’s Church. The free event series is open to the public, but RSVP is required.

Lectures are held on Thursdays from 10:30-11:30am at St. Peter’s Church, 619 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10022, just around the corner from TBMS!
