Lecture: Orchestra 101: Cello

November 30 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Chris Irvine

Join us for this lecture-concert series where we will investigate the history, construction, and repertoire of the instruments of the classical orchestra. From strings to woodwinds, from brass to percussion, from the organ to the conductor who brings it all together. Today’s event will focus on the cello and is led by cellist and TBMS master musician-teaching artist Chris Irvine.

The Daytime Lecture series is presented in partnership with Lenox Hill Neighborhood House at St. Peter’s Church. The free event series is open to the public, but RSVP is required.

Lectures are held on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00pm at St. Peter’s Church, 619 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10022, just around the corner from TBMS!
