Lecture Performance Series: The World of Conducting

Turtle Bay Orchestra Director Julie Desbordes brings audiences behind the scenes for an interactive peek into “The World of Conducting”.

The free Daytime Lecture Performance series offers music lovers the chance to gain in-depth knowledge about a variety of musical topics! Lectures are held on Thursdays from 1:30-2:30pm in the Richmond Room, followed by a light reception. All are welcome to attend! Pay what you wish.

Upcoming Daytime Lecture Performances:
June 23rd: Violinist Jacqueline Jove and Audrey Abela explore the relationship between Romantic composers and contemporaries Brahms and Schumann, with performances of Brahm’s G Major Sonata and Schumann’s A minor sonata.
June 30th: Violinist Allison McNeal presents “The Violin: Decoded”, an in-depth look at the mechanics of the instrument and its many capabilities, as revealed through the works of its most celebrated composers.
