Edwin Sirlin elected new President of the Board of Trustees at Turtle Bay Music School

New York, NY – Turtle Bay Music School, a non-profit community music organization dedicated to providing music to all New Yorkers, is pleased to announce the appointment of new board president Edwin Sirlin. Mr. Sirlin, a longtime advocate of the performing arts and arts education, will host a meet-and-greet champagne reception at Turtle Bay Music School on Tuesday, February 23rd from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. All community members are welcome to attend.

Mr. Sirlin’s love of music began at an early age as a clarinetist in his sixth grade band, and continued as a Music Education Major at Queens College. While his career took a different direction, his love and passion for the arts have always been an important part of his life.

Mr. Sirlin is currently at Signature Bank as a Group Director, managing his own Private Client Group focused on providing privately held businesses and their owner’s with superior financial services, as well as utilizing networking as a vehicle to provide additional value. By creating unique marketing programs and events, he assists with the acquisition and retention of clients and has actively utilized these programs to benefit charities and non-profits.

Mr. Sirlin has served on the boards of the American Suicide Prevention Foundation, New York Chamber Symphony Orchestra with Gerard Schwartz, and Songs of Love, an organization that writes personalized songs for terminally ill children. He maintains involvement in many other charitable organizations including Bat for the Cure (prostate cancer), Heather on Earth (music therapy) and The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation.
