Favorite style of music to teach: Musical Theater.
Favorite pieces of music: Grieg Piano Concerto, Rhapsody in Blue.
Favorite color: Purple.
Do you have any pets? Jasper, a bamboo plant.
What’s your favorite musical memory? Watching a show I wrote being performed in public for the first time.
What do you like best about teaching music? Connecting with students through music and empowering them to express themselves in a new way.
Who are your favorite composers? Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz, Jonathan Larson.
What was the first piece of music you ever learned? A lullaby my mom made up.
How many hours a day do you practice? I write for several hours a day.
How long have you been at TBMS? Since 2014.

I play keyboard on Broadway for “Wicked” and used to play for “The Color Purple” and “Motown.”
A musical I wrote, “Anthem,” was performed at the NYC Fringe Festival in 2014.
A screenplay I wrote, “Chasing Ghosts,” made the top 10% at the Austin Film Festival in 2013.
