Education: I majored in music at Yale University and went to a hippie liberal HS in DC, Georgetown Day School. I also studied piano and voice at the Levine School of Music.

Do you have any pets? (Describe them!):  A male beta fish named “Walter White.”

What’s your favorite musical memory? The first time I conducted a live orchestra, and the feeling of fulfillment that came with that.

What do you like best about teaching music? Sharing joy, passion, and expression with students.

Who is your favorite composer or musician? Ravel and Sondheim

What was the first piece of music you ever learned? Hot Cross Buns

How many hours a day do you practice? That’s a very personal question.

How long have you been at TBMS? Since 2014

I play keyboard on Broadway for “Wicked” and used to play for “Motown.”

I created and licensed a four-piece orchestration for “Sweeney Todd.”

A musical I wrote, “Anthem,” was performed at the NYC Fringe Festival this year.

When I was 12, I wrote a symphony that won a composition competition.

When I was 13, I played “Rhapsody in Blue” with an orchestra.
